Pictures

I thought I would add a few of my favorite pictures on a separate page.  Enjoy!

What follows are a series of pictures I took while visiting one of my visually impaired clients.  He lives in a senior living facility that happens to have in its lobby a huge pond/tank complete with stone inlaid cement walls.   It was built by one of the ex-tenants circa 1975 and contains about 15 of the original fish — some two feet long.  Coy — basically multicolored goldfish —  of this size are worth hundreds of dollars a piece.

and applying the “plastic wrap” filter in Photoshop

The following group of photos, I took from next to our local Wal-Mart, which is surrounded by wetlands.    If you think his eyes looks a little strange in this guy, you would be right,  as I borrowed a sharper eye from another pigeon picture using Photoshop.

And here is another Pigeon picture – we often don’t notice what a thing of beauty they are in flight.

Here is a mutated  Pigeon

The next series of pictures are of an Eastern Water Snake, eating a bullhead — yep, right next to Wal-Mart.

Here are some pics of A male American Gold-finch and Eastern Blue-Birds,

The following are pictures of female Broad-Tailed Hummingbirds, taken while at my friend’s condo in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

And finally, here is a Grackle with an Attitude:

      Thanks Matthew,
Just curious, what part of the country do you live in? Are you buried up to your ass in snow as I am?

I’m in Essex, and I’m definitely buried up to my ass in snow at the minute. It’s great!

        Kind regards,

        Matthew

Yes I see from some pictures that you have a tiny quantity of snow on your streets. Over one hundred inches have fallen here in the last two weeks. Don’t have a good picture of my house in the snow from this year, but this is the way it usually looks in the winter. This shot is form my garage looking out toward the street after just having run my snow-blower.
